I love this technique! I want to do some. the surface is gorgeous! Is that black ink for the background or just a really dark colour Velvet?

The background is the black ink wash too, as is the ink in the gaps in the butterfly's wings. I like the fact that the scribbled effect has allowed the black to show, whereas a solid wax colour would not have looked so effective. cute flutterbys, Velvet xx
