Tiny mid-week project by Velvet
Velvet thought up this idea and made it all by herself. She brought it to me completed, explaining it was to keep her next milk tooth safely under her pillow till the fairies collect it.
She cut pieces of 'Binka/Binko' (I think my mum calls it?) hard rigid plastic with square holes in. She cut out little squares (about 2cm x 2cm) and stitched 5 of them together to form an box, then she sewed just on one side of the final piece to make a hinged lid. She popped a tiny piece of wadding to keep the tooth safe, then proudly gave it to me asking 'Can we put it on the Blog?'

It's a Miracle!
Hi Everyone, hope you are all well. I have some really exciting news. I entered the Tim's Arts design a dragon competition, and I won! I will be unveiling Miracle the Friendly Dragon Saturday 17th July at 10.00, if any of you can make it I'd love to have my fellow bloggers there. Miracle will be watching over the children's area downstairs. If I get the picture I drew back, I'll blog it.
Lots of excited love, Izzy xx

Flying Fairy in My Garden by Velvet
I couldn't wait to make this after I had listened to Pomegranite Sarah explain how she started collage as a little girl, with snippets of wrapping paper and nail varnish. I used wrapping paper, paints and the real gold leaf, given to me by Grandad who has kept it for 40years, it was given to him by a friend he worked with in the printing press where he worked as a proof reader. I wanted it to look like the magic that was coming out of the fairy's wand.
